67: april 14th

Amazing mid-april pow at alpental that didn't last long before it manked out. This was the best run I've ever had down Schluct (with Mark). I'll take face shots the day before tax day!

66: april 6th

Crystal with Sam. Here, you will eventually see a video of me eating a taco in a snowstorm. The most variable day I can remember, and, skiing on my new ON3Ps that I was stoked for but yet were set up like garbage.

65: march 30th

Attempted Chair Peak Circumnavigation with Mark & Adam. The snow skied way shittier than it looked.

64: march 25th

Bluebird at Stevens with Mark & Andi, and later, Sam. I touched 60 on the powerline run once.

Last winter biathlon of the year; super sprint at stevens pass.

Mission Ridge with Mark. Skipped out on the biathlon because I had no energy. I found this tiny cliff that was loads of fun.

Sick Sick Sick southback day today with Sammy! Brain Damage, Silver Chutes, and Secret Chute were all destroyed. Here's a clip from the first, one of the best of the year (Brain Damage).

Morning powder at Alpental. I've been challenging myself to not be such a wimp and drop stuff when the snow is good. Here's a small one under chair 2 (still rocks out to the end of the big ones) and a pretty decent sized one in the elevator backcountry somewhere. 12" of light stuff and no lines!

59: march 17th

Aack! A week off due to a pineapple express! St. Patrick's day saw Lillie and I taking Jessica and David up to Crystal. They had a fresh light 10" but deep stuff doesn't mix well with groms. Here's me finding some later in the day into snorting elk bowl.

58: march 10th

Crystal with Andi and Jessica. I took off for a little while to do a solo trip out to Three Way and the most mellow of the chutes. Nothing special except that southback was completely dead.

57: march 9th

Pineapple Pass delivers again. Adam encouraged me to drop in off the cornice/cliff, which he estimated at 15 feet - so that's my biggest cliff so far. I contemplated that or the pristine top part of the run, but I went with this shot in the sun of Adam skiing in front of me. Big Trees was great as well.

Crystal. Took Robert and Dale from Kirkwood out to the King and Three Way at Crystal... Freshies through one of the Silver Chutes led to a near-perfect run on a perfect day. Sam & Tom bailed on this hike - their loss!

A day with Death Conditions at Crystal and Sean (Lillie's teacher). GPS said that I hit 56.3mph on this run.

Beautiful pow day on 3/3 with Andi. First through Elevator, then to Hyak, then back through Nash Gate.

Alpental. This was the most people I'd ever seen at Alpental, but it led to maybe the best snow of the year. This was my first run (out of only four for a full day) with 'Ben', a guy I met in the Chair 2 line. This is somewhere high off Elevator. I'm sorry for the six-second gif. I had to. What a day for #50!

Alpental, Elevator to Heavenly Trees with Mark. 3 feet of heavy stuff and the first time I've worn the pontoons in 5 weeks made me feel lame, but it was fantastic the next day.

KHMR Day 7: Mark drops into 'Pee Chute' (probably 'Horse Play') off RR for the last time.

KHMR, Day 6: Tunnel Vision off CPR Ridge. Mark figured out the entrance. Definitely one of the best chutes there.

KHMR, Day 5: 'Scary Chute', or 'Stampede.'

KHMR Day 2 - the only 'powder' day we got. 46,000 vertical feet (9 super laps). The first is dropping into a virgin chute off redemption, the second is whitewall. We skied powder and wind chalk all day.

Kicking Horse, Day 1. It hasn't snowed in a week, yet there's still plenty of great stuff in the chutes. This place is amazing. This one is 'lower scary', what I think KHMR calls 'one trick pony' off RR.

Sunshine Village, aka Mt. Gaper. The most beautiful place I've ever skied. Negative points for me, the first time I ever choose to leave my safety gear at home, they have a locking gate to access the good stuff. FML.

An afternoon at Revelstoke. Decent snow up top - didn't get to see much of the mountain. Standing gondolas get a big thumbs-down. This run was 'Jalapeno.'

Alpental. Sean's early arrival resulted in some nice quality snow, even though it was old. Lillie is starting to love the trees.

Perfect day at Crystal. Soft and fast, I rolled up my sleeves for a couple of runs. 45 degrees and bright sun. I think Lillie did about 11,000 feet, her first 10,000+ day!

A perfect day at Alpental brings you two gifs - since it turned out to be not so perfect. Someone took Lillie's skis. While we were waiting, though, I discovered she's comfortable skiing backwards. With hands in the pockets. So steezy!

Granite Mountain (backcountry). I convinced Adam to do this and then I went 1 mile the wrong way. I didn't make the summit. Here's a careful descent of a slope that was 'considerably' dangerous, avalanche-wise. It must have been upper 40s up there. Seattle is locked into its third straight day of all-day fog.
